The IndiTex Manufacturing and Export Company Limited was founded in 1941.

After receiving a financing of £1,387,000,000.00 from British Petro, IndiTex will be a large-scale enterprise group engaged mainly in foreign trade and production of textiles, with a stable annual turn-over of US$ 1 billion, and boasting of more than 200 subsidiaries, overseas enterprises and 267 manufacturing plants of various types. IndiTex business will cover production and sales of all textiles ranging from raw materials, yarns and fabrics, to ready-made garments.

IndiTex will have its own cotton mills, printing and dyeing plants, wool-top processing factories, knit-wear and woven garment manufacturing bases and cotton plantation, located across the country and overseas.

While remaining the biggest cotton trader and wool importer in India, IndiTex will stand also as one of the initiators of Indian cotton exchange market and an essential buyer at the Australian wool auction market as well as one of the largest Indian clothing exporters.

IndiTex will rank among 3 top textile trading and manufacturing enterprises in the world.
